The Municipal Mayor of Dauin, Honorable Galicano A. Truita, has invited Asian College-Dumaguete campus to its 1st Edu-Fair!
The Edu-Fair is an educational fair where the academe will have the opportunity to primarily present scholarship grants and other educational subsidies that students from Dauin can take advantage of in pursuit of their educational goals for a bright future.
The event was held at the Dauin Gymnasium with other colleges and universities. Aside from the students and parents, guests from the Provincial Division Office and the Local Government Unit were also present.
During the one-day Edu-Fair, Asian College was able to address inquiries and distribute brochures and AC giveaways to the participating crowd. Application forms were also distributed to those interested in applying to college.
There were also cooperative and government agencies invited to the event: Perpetual Help Community Cooperative Inc.(PHCCI), DCCCO Multipurpose Cooperative, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), presenting scholarship programs for the students. Intermission numbers from Brgy. Casile Rondalla and the Adventist Academy of Negros Oriental-Siquijor Choral Group were also presented.
The said event wouldn’t be possible without the initiative of the First Lady of Dauin, Mrs. Maria S. Carmen Truita, who presented certificates of appreciation and tokens to all invited institutions and agencies for its 1st Edu-Fair.
