A golden celebration for Asian College as it paved another wholesome achievement in providing academic excellence.

A momentous event spearheaded by our beloved Vice President for Academic Affairs, Mr. James Christopher K. Layag together with the unwavering support of our President, Madam Claudine Gloria Sia-Lucente along with the Dumaguete faculty, staff, and students, joined with the Asian College, Quezon City campus team.

To formally open the event, a thanksgiving mass was arranged. A ribbon cutting was also conducted on the first day which was attended by our distinguished guest, Atty. Gretel Dy and Ms. Jhune Claros, a representative from the City Tourism Office along with Atty. Edmund Dy and Mrs. Dorothy Dy, Asian College’s legal consultants. A “Palihi” was also performed by the IWAG Dance Company as an act to invite luck and prosperity and to mark a start of a new endeavor.

During the week-long celebration, activities were organized such as the presentation of the school marching band, the coronation of the Miss Asian College 2022, and the students’ and employees’ sports exhibition game, invitations were also sent to selective schools for the open-house activity, the inter-department modern dance competition, the Asian College got talent, and ACer’s night culmination party featuring DJ Amz and MC Surj to wrap the Asian College’s Founder’s Week.

Asian College also supervised a community welfare program where they invited selected mothers from Brgy. Taclobo for a livelihood program in which “Fresh Lumpia” making was demonstrated and techniques on its preservation for a longer shelf life. Employees’ families and relatives were also invited to participate in the bingo game wherein prizes were given.

It was indeed a grand celebration for Asian College’s 50th anniversary. The experiences, and memories shared with everyone are something we will always look forward to.
