About Asian College
A Legacy of Excellence
Asian College of Science and Technology Foundation, Inc., more commonly known as Asian College or ACSAT, traces its roots to the Asian Institute of Electronics, which was founded in 1972 by Dr. Constancio A. Sia and Gloria Durano Sia. Established with a vision to provide accessible, high-quality education in electronics and technology, the institution was incorporated in the same year to help meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the Philippines.
In 1973, the school welcomed its first batch of 300 students, offering classes in a few rooms at the Prudential Bank Building in Cubao, Quezon City. As the institution grew and its academic offerings expanded, it earned accreditation from the Department of Education, Culture and Sport as a full-fledged college. This milestone led to its transformation into what is now known as the Asian College of Science and Technology, continuing its commitment to student-centered, industry-relevant education.
Asian College’s main campus in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental offers students a welcoming and dynamic space to learn, grow, and thrive. Situated on a 2-hectare property, the campus provides a supportive learning environment designed to enhance both academic and personal development. Students enjoy access to modern, industry-ready facilities, including air-conditioned classrooms with Smart TV monitors, a well-equipped library, electronic testing tools, internet connectivity, an audiovisual room, a gymnasium, a soccer field, a simulated hospital, and professional kitchen laboratories that allow hands-on, real-world learning.
